Hope is not a strategy.

Updated: Jun 22, 2020

We have been living through some pretty strange, emotionally charged, difficult and enduring times. And I am starting to feel a bit jaded when people say we're in this together; because yes, we all feel the impact, but for some this is a sprinkle and for others it is a full on crap storm.

Have you ever heard the phrase "hope is not a strategy"? Wow. Yes we all need to have hope at this time. Absolutely, we NEED hope right now to keep ourselves in good spirits.

But let's be honest, whether you're experiencing some inconvenient sprinkles, or a full on house-imploding hurricane, hope is not an actionable strategy.

This is a time to be gentle with ourselves, to slow down, and to reevaluate our priorities. But it is also a time to have a strategy and act on it. What can you do right now to put the next foot forward? It doesn't have to be a big, audacious goal, or it can be. Just do something to move the needle forward.

This will end eventually. What can you do right now to make this time count? Now is the time to cling to hope and carry out your strategy!  Need help staying positive and motivated? We've all been there! Join a supportive group of women that exists to encourage you and help hold you accountable to the goals you know you can achieve. Learn more.
